Text Link Ads - an Alternative Income for Bloggers!

Text Link Ads

I bet most of you now must have heard of Text Link Ads by now but does it pay well or complement well with Adsense?

For my case, the answer is YES, although the amount is not much and each link that I managed to sell vary between $5 -$12.50/month, it's still a significant amount of income for a relatively low-traffic blog. Implementation wise, it's very easy for a Wordpress blog and vBulletin forums and doubts about whether it'll conflict with Google Adsense's adverts have been cleared.

Also, via my short experience with Text Link Ads and also through conversations with other webmasters it seems that there are certain ways to maximise your earnings from Text Link Ads:

1. For blogs with very specific topics e.g. SEOnoob with SEO, it is relatively easy to sell ads to advertisers and it seems that your Google PageRank (PR) and Alexa ranking (i.e. traffic volume) plays a huge factor in the price at which your link is sold at.

2. For personal blogs or blogs which cover a wide range of topics but has high traffic or loyal readers, I think it's best if you join the affiliate program, where you can earn US$25 for every referral you make!

So have fun blogging and good luck with your Text Link Ads adventure!

well, since your website's on blogspot, I don't think you sell links from textlinkads though since there needs to be some addition of server side code, you can however join the affiliate program, where they pay quite well.

anyway, the tip's are all up there. only start applying to sell links when you have a PR of 4 and above, otherwise, stick to promoting the affiliate program.

Yes i can confirm text link ads works, i used to shop from there for my domains, it is a nice, fast and easy to find links for your site. If you want to become a publisher, there is a criteria that your site needs to meet, it should have some PR (3) would be best and a good Alexa traffic, other ways they will not accept your site as publisher, and thats why i like it (from a buyers point of view).

Haroon, no worries, your site will be indexed and from Google (unless it has some penalization).

My site has a Google PR3
Getting an average of 150 UNIQUE visitors per day, around 500 Hits. But still I am rejected. Maybe its the category. Contact me if anyone of you want to buy a textlink on my Blog.

Are there any Text-link-Ads alternatives ?
